Custom Commands let you create or update code snippets based on specific requirements. This feature is part of Coding Assistant suite and supports all programming languages and frameworks.

Prerequisites
- You must have WiseGPT extension installed.
Steps
Select the code and open the context menu

Highlight the code snippet you want to modify.

Right-click to open the context menu.

Select WiseGPT, then select Custom Commands.
You can also trigger Custom Commands
using one of the following methods:
- Use a shortcut to open Custom Commands

Highlight the code snippet you want to modify.

Press
Cmd+Shift+C
on macOS orCtrl+Shift+C
on Windows/Linux.
- Use the quick-fix light bulb icon

Highlight the code you want to modify.

Click the light bulb icon.

Select WiseGPT: Custom Commands.
Enter your instructions and submit

Provide instructions in the pop-up prompt.

Click Submit.

Review and apply the generated code.

- The generated output may include comments explaining key sections.
- You can further refine instructions and regenerate the code if needed.
Troubleshooting
Why is the "Custom Commands" option not visible in the context menu?
Verify that WiseGPT extension is installed and enabled. You also need an active DhiWise Enterprise subscription.
Why does WiseGPT generate no code when I use Custom Commands?
Make sure to highlight the code snippet before invoking Custom Commands, and try using more specific instructions to guide code generation.
What should I do if I see an error message during code generation?
Update WiseGPT extension to the latest version if you encounter unknown errors. If errors persist, contact DhiWise support.
